What Ownfilm is

Ownfilm is software that lets you run your own media server and watch your own library on your devices. Guldvarg Studio provides the software and related services. We do not provide, sell or host any movies, shows or other content.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Ownfilm for your own household, according to your plan. You may not resell, sublicense, reverse engineer (except where the law allows), or remove licence checks from the software.

Plans, subscriptions and Lifetime

• Free: use the core features at no cost.
• Plus: a subscription that renews until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep Plus until the end of the paid period.
• Lifetime: a one-time payment for Plus features for the lifetime of the product, as long as we offer it. It is not a promise to support any version forever.
• Prices include applicable VAT where required. Plans and prices can change for future purchases; they will not change retroactively for a period you already paid for.
• If a subscription ends you return to the Free plan. Your library and files are unaffected.

Payments and refunds

Purchases are processed by {PAYMENT_PROVIDER}, which acts as merchant of record and whose terms also apply to the purchase.

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases. For digital content or services that start immediately, you may lose that right once delivery has begun with your consent. Your content

You decide what you add to your library. You are responsible for it and you confirm that you have the right to store and watch it. We do not monitor your library, and you must not use Ownfilm to infringe anyone's rights or break the law.

Your server and your data

You run Ownfilm on your own hardware and are responsible for securing it, backing up your files and for any access you give to other people.

No warranty

Ownfilm is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to make it reliable but cannot promise it will be error-free or always available. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Guldvarg Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data or lost profit, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Ownfilm in the 12 months before the claim. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Ownfilm at any time. We may suspend a licence if these terms are seriously breached.

Governing law

Swedish law applies. Disputes go to the Swedish courts, but if you are a consumer you keep any rights to use the courts and consumer protection rules of your home country in the EU.
